Daniels-Eisenstaedt Photo Tour: Atlanta
Daniels had stayed in Atlanta's Biltmore Hotel during his 1937 trip, and Eisenstaedt took a picture of it in 1938. Another downtown building's rooftop water tank advertises Rich's department store.
At least some of Eisenstaedt's photos of upper-class houses are presumably from Atlanta, given Daniels's ruminations on North Atlanta wealth in A Southerner Discovers the South.
